School Supplies
Truman Public School 2023-24 Supply List:
The Truman Public School will again be providing school supplies to students for the 2023-24 school year. To clarify, the school provides the academic school supplies which is the same list as last school year.
24 Ct. Crayons, 12 Ct. Washable Markers, 12 ct. Colored pencils, #2 pencil, pens, scissors, highlighters, gluesticks, notebooks, earbuds, erasers, sharpies and two pocket folders required for each grade to start the year..
* Last year the school did not provide the following items and this will remain the same:: 3 ring binders, kleenex, paint shirts, gym shoes or pencil boxes/pouches
and other things not included in the list above.

PRESCHOOL
3 and 4 year old preschool - 1 large backpack ( no wheels), 1 paint shirt (an old large shirt works best), 1 box washable markers, 1 box of Kleenex, 3 large packages of glue sticks, 1 inch binder, 4 year olds need 1 single notebook and headphones (no earbuds, they don’t fit well)
Kindergarten
1 paint shirt (a parent old long sleeved shirt with elastic in the sleeves is preferred) backpack large enough for folder to fit in, velcro gym shoes, 2 pink or white erasers, 1 box of kleenex, 2 small glue bottles, 2 boxes of crayons of 16-24 count, beach towel, headphones or earbuds for computer time.
Grade 1
1 paint shirt ( a parent’s old shirt with elastic in the sleeves), 2 large boxes of Kleenex, 1 box of regular size crayons, 8 #2 pencils, 1 pencil box, a book bag or backpack, 4 pocket folders, 1 wide lined spiral notebook, 4 large glue sticks, headphones or earbuds for computer time. Optional: markers, colored pencils
Grade 2
1 box of Kleenex, 1- 1 inch black 3-ring binder, 2-Expo markers Black, 2-highlighters, 1- RED plastic two pocket folder, 2-two pocket folders, 2-spiral notebooks, 1-pencil box, 1-12 count pencils, 1-red pen, 1-large pink eraser, 1-12 count colored pencils, 1-24 count color crayons, 2-glue sticks, 1-black and white composition notebook, 1-scissors , 1-paint shirt, 1-gym shoes, headphones or earbuds for computer time.
Grade 3
#2 pencils (sharpened), pencil top erasers, 1 highlighter, 2 black dry erase markers, (other colors do not erase well),scissors, 2 glue sticks, small pouch for supplies, 24 count crayons,
1 wide lined spiral notebook, 1 pocket folder, one box of Kleenex, gym shoes, backpack, headphones earbuds for computer time. Optional: sketchbook or spare notebook for doodling, small personal sized pencil sharpener (please, no large ones), washable markers.
Grade 4
1 package of #2 pencils (sharpened), pencil top erasers, 2 red pen, 1 highlighter, 1 soft pencil pouch, 1 dry erase marker, 3 wide lined spiral notebooks, 4 pocket folders, crayons, washable markers, 2 glue sticks, 1 small bottle of glue, 2 large boxes of Kleenex, 1 1” hard cover binder, 1 paint shirt, 1 pair of scissors, backpack, gym shoes, headphones or earbuds for computer time.
Grade 5
4 pocket folders, markers (washable),
colored pencils, 2 packages #2 (sharpened) or mechanical pencils,small personal pencil sharpener, 2 black or blue pens, individual personal size Kleenex, 6 spiral notebooks or loose leaf paper in a binder, gym shoes, dry erase markers, crayons, 1 pair scissors, highlighters, backpack, 1 calculator, 2 black sharpie markers, 1 ruler and glue sticks, headphones or earbuds for computer time.
Grade 6
6 spiral notebooks (Wide Ruled), 2 packs of loose leaf paper (Wide Ruled), Pencils (#2 or mechanical), 2 black or blue pens, 1 pair of scissors, 1 box of Kleenex, 1 pack of washable markers (No Sharpies please), 1 box of crayons, 1 pack of colored pencils, 1 Highlighter,
4 pocket folders, Gym shoes, Headphones or earbuds for computer time (leave at school),
1 calculator.
High School Supply List
All students in grades 7-12 required school supplies:
