Hello and welcome to my web page.  My name is Mark Nass.   I retired from being the principal at Truman schools and found that I was needed as an art teacher, which was my major area of study.  I've been teaching grades 1 through 12 in art and as of last year, have also been directing the 6-12 choirs.  Its been a challenge and a blessing all wrapped into one.  I'm not ready to retire and have much more to give.   I hope you will take the time to view the Christmas Concert from the front page and also check out some of the art works in the galleries.  The students have done some amazing things.

I grew up in Mercer WI and attended college at Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee Ill (just southwest of Chicago).  There I achieved degrees in 2-dimensional art, 3-dimensional art, and general education.  I supplemented my studies with minor degrees in Business Education and German.

I received my masters degree in year 2000 from Winona State University and a degree in school administration from Saint Mary's University in 2014.

When I am not in my classroom, I enjoy motorcycle riding, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, singing, and playing the organ.

"E Learning" expectations:  Students are expected to be taking their chromebooks home each night from school, especially when there is threat of inclement weather.  On those days that school is closed and an E-Learning day is declared, students will be notified of assignments through email.  Assignments and "check-ins" will be accomplished through the Google Classroom.  Both email AND the Classroom are available on your phone as well.
