I work with students in 10th-12th grades through the SWIS (School within a school) program & the Resource Room.  I have taught since 1985 starting with 5th grade at Sherburn Elementary. I have worked in the special education department at Trimont Schools, MCW Schools, Blue Earth Schools, and the ALC in Winnebago & Blue Earth. I love teaching at the Truman High School.  I have degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education Learning Disabilities & Emotional/Behavioral Disorders from Mankato State University.  I am the Blood Drive Organizer and have coached the track team.

I live on a farm near Truman with my husband.  Brad is a grain farmer.  We have 2 daughters, 1 in Colorado and 1 in Truman. I have 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter. My horse is a quarterhorse named Cheyenne, my barn cats number 3 and Princess is my house cat. I raise chickens - layers & broilers.   I was the mother to Walter.  Walter was Truman Schools' Therapy Dog.  Sadly, he passed away on October 27, 2022 from bone cancer.  My hobbies are walking, reading, working in my kitchen cooking, baking or canning, gardening, riding horse and spending time with my family & friends on Fox Lake.

E learning days:  for my classes, answer the question of the day on Goggle Classroom.   You only need to answer it once.  Must be done by 2PM and I'll give you credit for attendance.  You have your work, work on it if not done.

Text or email me any questions!  Ms Sherman

I ran across this the other day and wanted to share.  It sounds like a great way to live!

"Drink water from the spring where horses drink. The horse will never drink bad water.

Lay your bed where the cat sleeps. Eat the fruit that has been touched by a worm.

Boldly pick the mushroom on which the insects sit. Plant the tree where the mole digs.

Build your house where the snake sits to warm itself. Dig your fountain where the birds

hide from heat. Go to sleep and wake up at the same time with the birds  -- you will reap all

of the days golden grains. Eat more green -- you will have strong legs and a resistant heart,

like the beings of the forest. Swim often and you will feel on earth like the fish in the water.

Look at the sky as often as possible and your thoughts will become light and clear. Be quiet

a lot, speak little -- and silence will come in your heart, and your spirit will be calm and full

of peace."   Saint Seraphim of Sarov
