I am currently in my 2nd year of teaching at Truman Public Schools as the K-12 Music Director. I teach K-6 elementary music, 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, 7-8 Band, 7-8 Choir, HS Band, and HS Choir. I received my B.A. in Music Education from St. Cloud State University in May of 2015.

My primary instrument is the flute but I also know how to play all of the band instruments. I am currently an organist at my Dad’s church in Motley, MN. I played flute and violin during my time at Brainerd High School.  At St. Cloud State University, I performed with the Wind Ensemble and the University Orchestra. I also participated in the Intercollegiate Honor Band at MMEA in 2015.

When I am not teaching, I am probably spending time with my two Siberian Huskies, Ivy and Steel. I also enjoy watching movies, writing, shopping, archery, and hockey. I grew up in Plainview, MN with my younger sister. After 8th grade, my family moved to Baxter, MN. I currently live with my younger sister in Madelia, MN.
