Lyndal Kosmatka  —  Kindergarten
School:  507-776-2111 x3944 (not currently used)
Class Dojo (per parent invite)

Hello! My name is Lyndal Kosmatka. I grew up in southern Illinois but have chosen to now call Minnesota home. I live in Mankato with my husband who teaches music here in Truman and our two children.

Kindergarten is an exciting time because it is that transition between Pre-K or home and school. In Kindergarten we don't only learn letters, numbers, and how to read but we also learn how to be good students and good friends.

Kindergarten Distance Learning Spring 2020

I will be available from 9am - 3pm Monday-Friday to answer questions and to assist students. To request a Zoom or Google Meet session please message me on DoJo or email

Learning videos and assignments will be posted by 9am for the day's lessons with most being posted the night before. No need to work ahead and rush through. These will be posted on Class DoJo until Kindergartners are set up in Google Classroom. No online lessons until the first full week of April. Calendar will be posted each school day.

Daily Attendance
Students will need to check in at one of the group times during the day for attendance. They are welcome to join as many check in times as they would like but must attend at least one to be counted as present for the day.
Check in times:
- 9:30am
- 2:00pm
- 6:00pm

During these check in times we will go over the lesson as a small group and students can ask any questions they have while I also ask questions to check for understanding. Check in will be using Zoom.
If none of the above check in times work for your student, PLEASE let me know so we can make other arrangements. If they do not check in each school day they will be counted absent for that day. Daily check in is also worth 2 DoJo points (same as a 5 cube day).

This is the schedule for our first week of "Distance Learning". I welcome parent feedback to make this run smoother as we go along. EVERYONE is learning!
