Greetings!  My name is Ms. Sherman, and I am completing my 3rd year at Truman Public School.
As the School Social Worker my role is to support students, parents, and staff as together we navigate distant learning!  I will be communicating with students using email, and Google MEET; just simple check-ins with easy ways to self assess and make personal plans for wellness.
The Minnesota Department of Health regularly updates resources for your consideration.  Please check out Social and Emotional Support for Gifted Learners during COVID-19 posted on March 20th it is full of good information!
Stay healthy,
Ms. Sherman

Attendance is mandatory at all levels. Attendance will be taken each day and put into JMC as if we were in regular class. My role during distance learning will be to check all student attendance daily and get a hold of parents.

How I will connect with familes:

I will be meeting with students daily through Google Meet. I will contact parents to help me set up meeting times if I am unable to connect with your child.
