Deborah Sherman

Hello all, and welcome to the 2020/2021 school year!

As we enter this academic year, it's important to recognize the huge toll the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take on the physical health and mental health of our students, parents, caregivers, and school personnel. Navigating the uncertainty can feel overwhelming, and this year we all need to attend to our mental health wellbeing more consciously than ever before.  Just like physical health, taking care of mental health issues early can help to prevent more serious problems from developing in the future.  As we shift to a "new normal" some Internet resources for students, parents, and caregivers are:
Students: KidsHealth, Teen Mental Health, Self-Care in Middle School, Guide of things to Do at Home to Combat Loneliness& Boredom, Helpful vs. Harmful: Ways to Manage Emotions
Parents/Caregivers: Child Mind Institute, Talking to Adolescents and Teens: Starting the Conversation, Helping at Home; Tips for Parents
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns via email or telephone  507.776.2111.
I am available per the school calendar Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and will respond to your email or telephone message within 24 hours.
Thank you,

Ms. Deborah Sherman
