Scholarship Information
A number of scholarship opportunities are currently available. AED Superstore is awarding scholarships for college bound high school seniors. Scholarships of $1,000 are being awarded biannually. Information is available by visiting http://www.aedsuperstore.com/scholarship.html . 2015 Minnesota Sheriff's Scholarship Program is offering up to 15 scholarships of $600 for this year. These scholarships are due to the coordinated efforts of the 87 Sheriff's of the State of Minnesota. The members of MSA give special recognition to the financial needs of students attending the peace officer skills course, or one of the two or four year law enforcement degree colleges. Scholarship awards will be announced by December 31st of the same year. Application forms and a statement of procedures along with information is available at the Martin County Sheriff's Office and by visiting mnsheriffs.org . Performing and visual Arts Scholarships are
available to Augustana College. Scholarships awarded from $1,000 to
$5,000 per year. Information is available by visiting www.augie.edu/arts . Minnesota JCI Senate Scholarship Program is linked to the U.S. JCI Senate Scholarship Program. Each state will pick two winners statewide and award them with a $250.00 Scholarship Grant. Then, the two will go on to the U.S. JCI Senate Scholarship Program and be judged with the other states. There are 15 winners from national, receiving $1,000.00 Scholarship Grants. The MN JCI Senate Scholarship Program has been giving out two - $250.00 scholarships each year. They have been doing this since I became a JCI Senator May 1976. Information is available in the office. SMSU is offering scholarships for next fall students who have a 22 or above on the ACT, are eligible for their online Scholarship Application as soon as possible. The first round of offers has already been sent, you are encouraged to complete the application soon to ensure the best offer that we can make. In order to be eligible for our scholarships, a student just needs to have the following: 1.) Be admitted to SMSU – can apply online at SMSU Application 2.) A completed Scholarship Application - Scholarship Application 3.) Received a 22 or above on the ACT test MWGA scholarship foundation is offering 43 scholarships from the Minnesota Women's Golf Association Foundation Scholarship fund to graduating senior girls. $3,000 per year -renewable for four consecutive years of scholarships which totals $12,000. It is made available to high school senior girls residing in Minnesota and planning to enroll in a four year college program the year the application is submitted. Information is available in the high school office. SFM Foundation is a nonprofit organization offering college scholarships to children of working parents who have been killed or injured on the job. Information can be found by visiting www.sfm-foundation.org . The Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Opportunities for students and educators are offering A United Educators Foundation Awards, A Student Awards, An Educator Award, and Education Major Award Scholarships for both students and fellow school staff members. The United States Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps is offering scholarships to any 2008/2009 graduates. It contains information on 1,400 colleges and universities around the nation. It also contains a section on information provided by Scholarship Resource Network about scholarships.
